Support
Short version: email contact@rogeriodocarmo.com and you will get a reply. There is no account to recover and no subscription to cancel — OmniMorse is free, works offline, and keeps everything on your device.
Reporting a problem
Email contact@rogeriodocarmo.com. Four things make a report much quicker to act on:
- Your phone model, and its Android or iOS version.
- The app version, from Settings — it is at the bottom of the screen.
- Which tab you were on: Translate, Speak, Tap or Learn.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
The light output does nothing
Playing a message as light means switching the camera flash on and off, and both Android and iOS put the torch behind the camera permission — there is no separate one. If you declined it, the Light channel stays off. Grant camera access in your phone's settings for OmniMorse and it will work.
The camera preview is never opened and no image is ever captured. Only the torch is switched.
It does not vibrate
Three things switch vibration off, and none of them are the app:
- Do Not Disturb, or a silent or focus mode, on some phones suppresses it.
- Vibration intensity set low or off in the system sound settings.
- Battery saver, which several Android manufacturers use to disable the motor entirely.
If all three are ruled out and it still does not buzz, please report it — the phone model is the useful part, because manufacturers differ here more than they should.
The sound plays but I cannot hear it
Check the media volume rather than the ringer — they are separate on both platforms, and the Morse tone plays as media. The app warns you when the volume is very low, but it cannot raise it for you.
Speak says it cannot recognise this language
Speech recognition is done by your phone, not by the app, so the languages available are the ones your device has installed. The interface is fully translated into English, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish either way — and typing and tap input work in all three regardless.
Dots keep coming out as dashes
The tap key measures how long you hold it, and "long" depends on your speed. Open Settings and move the dot / dash cut-off, or use Calibrate by tapping to set it from your own rhythm.
Turning off crash reports
Settings → Privacy → Send crash reports. Your choice is remembered, and it takes effect the next time the app starts — a crash in between may still be reported. What is and is not collected is set out in the privacy policy.
Does it work offline?
Yes, entirely. Translating, playing a message as sound, light, screen or vibration, tap input and the Learn tab all work with no connection. The only things that use the network are the crash reports above and a check for app updates.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored, because everything it stored was on your device. There is no account and no server-side copy to request the deletion of.
